The company was formed in 2001 by New Zealander Ben Nicholls, who
has been working in the building industry for over 15 years.
Ben
comes from a family of
builders. He started
helping out on building
sites in his school holidays
in Hawkes Bay, on the
east coast of New Zealand’s
North Island.
He soon started working full-time as a builder’s assistant and, dividing
his time between building and roofing, quickly moved through the ranks to be
running his own company, Nicholls Roofing, aged just 21.
He later brought that expertise to the United Kingdom and set up Nicholls Roofing
in London.
He then got together a team of friends and trusted colleagues from the building
industry who are all competent in their respective trades and committed to the
company and its ideals of quality and hard work.
Demand for their services
soon became so high that
a separate building division
was needed – and
Kiwi Contracts was formed.
The company has since gone from strength to strength and in 2004 Kiwi Contracts
took on 15 large-scale projects among its collection of work.
They have now established
themselves as the preferred
contractor for a number
of major clients throughout
the United Kingdom.
We are registered Mastered Builders and members of the Confederation of Roofing
Contractors.
